Collaboration - Idea No. 1

On 17 March 2021, I presented a paper on how lawyers can build collaboration into their everyday legal practice.

One of the themes I talked about is the importance of building relationships.

Off the cuff I mentioned how amazed we feel when we come off a call with another lawyer who is reasonable and straightforward and the issues are resolved simply and without fuss. But we talk about these interactions as outliers, rare.

My challenge to the audience was what if you made it your goal to make someone you dealt with today feel that way about you.

Like buying the coffee for the next person in the queue.
